| Sol Magnum is a special weapon designed by Team Cascade specifically to counter extremely durable and void-resistant metals. Only effective short-range. The device works by loading an entire block of a special alloy into the rear chamber. The weapon can fire three times before needing to be reloaded. Sol Magnum requires the alloy to be superheated inside the chamber, which requires at least 10 seconds of prep. Once heated, the temperature of the alloy is safely maintained in the chamber for up to an hour. Pressing the trigger will activate energy cells in the front to draw approximately one-third of the alloy block’s volume into the front chamber, which is then rapidly compressed and accelerated out of the muzzle. Currently, there exist only two units of the Sol Magnum. Its use is extremely niche and expensive, making it impractical for most missions. The special alloy is created by superheating a microscopic amount of permafrost ore until it disassembles. |   |
